WEST MEYER ROAD TO CLOSE TO THROUGH TRAFFIC SEPTEMBER 30 ST. CHARLES COUNTY, M O – The St. Charles County Highway Department will close West Meyer Road from Route W to Duenke Road, Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The closure is needed for construction work on West Meyer Road. The closure will last for about one month before this section re-opens. Traffic will be required to follow the detour signs around the closure. Drivers on West Meyer Road can detour north on Route W to Duenke Road, then go south on Duenke Road to reconnect with West Meyer. Local residents will be allowed limited access on West Meyer Road to get to their homes.

Access to Oglesby Park will be from the Duenke Road side of the closure.

This road improvement project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the travelling public. MoDOT to close ramp from Foristell/ Route T/W to westbound I-70

Sept 23, 2026: Foristell, MO: Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close the ramp from Foristell/Route T/W interchange to westbound I-70 for grading work. All work is weather permitting.

The ramp will close from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. nightly Thursday, October 1; Friday, October 2; Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6.

Traffic wishing to access westbound I-70 at the interchange can continue west on the North Service Road to Wildcat Drive (exit 199). Motorists are encouraged to pay attention in work zones, drive the posted work zone speed limit, and allow extra time for travel. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT to shift eastbound I-70 lanes between Foristell weigh station and Wentzville Parkway starting Oct. 1

SEPT. 22, 2026: ST. Foristell, MO – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will shift lanes of Interstate 70 between the Foristell weigh station and Wentzville Parkway (mile markers 205.4-208) starting overnight Thursday, October 1 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Overall, motorists can expect the following traffic conditions and impacts. All work is weather permitting.

October 1 – Eastbound traffic will shift to the final lane configuration; however, the new third lane of I-70 will remain closed.
October 1 – East of Wentzville Parkway, eastbound traffic will shift RIGHT onto the new pavement and away from the temporary drainage structures.

David Hoekel Parkway Westbound Ramps to Close Oct. 6

October 6 – Westbound traffic will shift LEFT onto the new pavement to allow the remaining construction of the I-70 westbound lanes.
October 6 – The David Hoekel Parkway westbound on and off ramps will close for 30 days.

After the westbound traffic switch occurs, traffic barriers will be in place along the right and left shoulders of westbound I-70. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on I-70 during peak travel times, and the speed limit will remain 55 mph throughout the work zone. Westbound I-70 will experience nightly right lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during construction.

The lane shifts and nightly lane closures will remain in place through 2026. Motorists are encouraged to pay attention in work zones, drive the posted work zone speed limit, and allow extra time for travel. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
